In this video, I will discuss what is Defense in Depth which is a topic core to your studies for the CISSP exam. In this video, you will learn why we need to care about Defense in Depth.
Defense in Depth is the concept of “layered security” which allows us to pile security controls on top of one another so we can prevent hackers from breaking through and accessing the sensitive information and systems we want to protect.
Layered security is conceptually stacking security controls on top of on another so in case the hacker managed to break through one, you still have another that is prevent the hacker from getting through.
