On June 1, 2021, the Asia Society Japan Center and the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University (OIST) held a joint webinar for specialists in quantum computing and leaders in business and government titled “OIST Quantum/Cyber Security Initiative: The Science, the Opportunities, and the Real-World Challenges.”

The event started with an address by OIST President Peter Gruss, followed by an introduction by economics expert Jesper Koll (WisdomTree Investments) and theoretical physicist Kae Nemoto (National Institute of Informatics), followed by in-depth talks:
